Tai Chi as an aid to Combatting Joint Pain in Breast Cancer Survivors

Breast cancer survivors have to take medication known as aromatase inhibitors which prevents further spread of cancer. Trouble is often the medication causes severe joint pain, sometimes so intense that the medication has to be stopped. A 2009 study found yoga practice very helpful in reducing the pain and now they're carring out tests using tai chi. It seems that tai chi training has reduced low density liprotein levels after 12 weeks of training, so they're hopeful that their tests will prove that tai chi is also beneficial for breast cancer survivors.
